Ohio district mulls large elementary project

The Monroe (Ohio) Local School District is planning a new building that would house grades prekindergarten to 4. The district is considering building a 130,000- to 150,000-square-foot facility that would have a capacity of more than 1,000 students. The school board is looking at a $28 million bond election next year to pay for the project. The architect is Steed-Hammond-Paul.
