From The Journal News: The mother of a freshman at Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y., has been charged with strangling her daughter in the family's campus apartment. Stacey Pagli, who then sliced her wrist and tried to hang herself, was arraigned on a felony charge of second-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Marissa, 18. The student, Marissa Pagli, the daughter of a college maintenance worker, lived on campus with her parents; her mother was found unconscious. The family reportedly had been arguing over the weekend.
