New bus service at Mississippi State University will provide better access to city of Starkville

$2 million federal grant will enable city and university to begin transit operation

News release: Mississippi State University and the city of Starkville will receive a federal grant of more than $2 million for a transit system connecting the university campus and Starkville. The grant includes more than $800,000 for transit operations and about $1.5 million to buy up to 12 buses. The three-route system will give students better access to Starkville, university officials say.
