Building designed to help the Rockville Centre, N.Y., campus shed image as a commuter school

News release: Molloy College in Rockville Centre, N.Y., has completed construction of a 57,000-square-foot campus center. Intended to be the centerpiece of the institution's transformation from a commuter college to a 24-hour learning community, the facility will support student life with spaces such as a café, lounges, study rooms, student club space, a bookstore and an art gallery. The center also houses a 550-seat theater, and rehearsal and office spaces for the music department. The architect is BRB Architects.
