New elementary under construction in Palmer, Alaska

$17 million facility will house 470 students.

The Matanuska-Susitna Valley (Alaska) district has broken ground on a $17 million elementary school in Palmer. South Palmer Elementary School will be a 52,306-square-foot building. It will have a capacity of 470 students and also will serve as a community center. The architect is McCool Carlson Green-Architects.
