From The Providence Journal: The New England Institute of Technology has moved into its new home, a 265,000-square-foot building in East Greenwich, R.I. The school, which had been situated in Warwick, bought property and the empty Brooks-Eckerd corporate headquarters in 2007 and 2008. The drugstore company never occupied the building because it was acquired by rival Rite Aid Corp. The college, which has 3,300 students, gutted the facility and converted it to educational space. More than $100 million was spent on the land and building. The college moved about 90 people into the new building last year and another 1,000 students in January. The rest of the students moved in July, in time for summer classes.
