New facility planned for Texas A&M University

College Station campus would be home to National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing

The Texas A&M University System is slated to get $50 million from the state's Emerging Technology Fund to build the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing. The facility, which is planned for Texas A&M University in College Station, will cost $75 million to $80 million and is expected to be built and undergo validation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2011. Texas A&M is talking with federal and nonprofit entities about the remainder of the funding to create the center.
