New high school plan rejected in Ville Platte, La.

Voters say no to $21.5 million bond issue
Voters in Ward 1 ofVille Platte, La., have voted down a $21.5 million bond issue that would have paid for the construction of a new high school in the Evangeline Parish school district. The proposal also included funds for upgrading Chataignier Elementary School. In October, voters also rejected a plan that would have provided money to build a high school.
