Cox Hill High will be the district's 3rd new high school in 8 years

From The Charlotte Observer: The Cabarrus County (N.C.) district is opening its third new high school in eight years. The 232,500-square-foot Cox Mill High will open its doors to about 750 students Aug. 25. It follows the construction of Hickory Ridge High, which opened in 2007, and Jay M. Robinson High, which was completed in 2001. The three newest high schools complement Cabarrus County's four older ones: Central Cabarrus, Concord, Mount Pleasant and Northwest Cabarrus. Cox Mill will alleviate crowding at Northwest Cabarrus.
