From The Carrollton Times-Georgian: The University of West Georgia in Carrollton will build a $26.5 million East Village Housing and Dining Complex near the east entrance to the campus. Officials hope to break ground during the summer and have students in the new buildings by fall 2013. Two existing residence halls, Downs Hall and Boykin Hall, along with the Art Annex building, will be torn down. The school will construct two residence halls with a total of 460 beds and a 30,000-square-foot dining facility that will seat 320.
