New system will help track campus sustainability

AASHE unveils STARS program

News release: The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) has launched STARS, its comprehensive campus sustainability assessment program. STARS stands for Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System. It is a voluntary, self-reporting framework for gauging progress toward sustainability on college and university campuses. The aim of the STARS program is to assist campuses in their move toward environmental action in all aspects of campus life from buildings to food service; curriculum to operations.
