Teachers union sues New York City over class sizes

From The New York Times: The New York City teachers’ union and other groups contend in a lawsuit that the city’s education department, despite receiving hundreds of millions of dollars to reduce class sizes, has ignored state law and allowed the average number of students in a classroom to grow in the last couple of years. Despite additional money, and a decline in student enrollment citywide, class sizes have increased, according to the lawsuit.
