Connecticut high school student charged in alleged bombing plot

Authorities have charged a Newington (Conn.) High School student with making explosives in connection with an alleged Columbine-style plot to attack classmates. Frank Fechteler, 16, a junior, had been taken to a local hospital for psychiatric evaluation until his arrest late on two felony counts of manufacturing bombs. Fechteler has been accused of keeping a hit list with at least 20 names and devising a plan to attack the classmates with explosive devices and guns sometime this school year. Police searching his Newington home found documents detailing the plot along with the explosives and weapons.
