New Jersey approves 137 school repair projects

TheNew Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA) and Department of Education have allocated funds for 137 repair projects at 114 schools. The state will spend about $60 million from a reserve created in April 2007 to pay for projects at schools with pressing health, safety and other problems. State and school district officials initially conducted on-site visits and examined 400 potential health and safety problems that the districts had submitted for review.
