From bans on hugging to labeling comments as sexual harassment, schools are cracking down on anything that smacks of sex. Critics say teachers and administrators have become too fearful of lawsuits and have stopped letting kids be kids.

EARLIER: A middle school in Oak Park, Ill., has instituted a no-hugging policy. The new policy at Percy Julian Middle School says the school's 860 students are not supposed to hug anywhere inside the building. It went into effect last month because of administrators' concerns that so-called "hug lines" in the hallways were making students late for class and causing bottlenecks in the halls.
