Recovery District enrollment growth levels off

Nearly 1,500 students have enrolled in the Recovery School District in New Orleans since Oct. 1, the significant majority of them moving back to the city from other states, according to figures the district released recently. Earlier this week, the district had about 12,600 students, and anticipates hitting 13,000 by Feb. 1, the second major student count date of the year.
