From The Des Moines Register: Voters in the North Polk (Iowa) school district have approved plans for a new high school in Alleman. The bonds will provide $16.1 million toward the project, which is estimated to cost $24 million. The rest of the money will come from the statewide 1-cent sales tax for schools.
News release: Voters in the North Polk (Iowa) Community School District will be asked to go to the polls on Dec. 7 to approve $16.1 million bond issue to help pay for a new high school. The bond funds, along with sales tax revenue, would enable the district to construct a $24 million building for grades 9 through 12.
