Voters in New York district reject bond proposal

From The Journal News: A $19.7 million bond proposal in the North Salem (N.Y.) district has been rejected. The money would have paid for building upgrades and repairs, including new wiring to improve computer technology; upgrades to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act; more efficient boilers; upgraded plumbing and mechanical systems; and repairs to masonry and deteriorated asphalt. The plan also called for the addition of a small wing with modern science labs and two special-education classrooms at the high school.
