New high school opens in Greensboro, N.C.

Northern Guilford High School has opened in Greensboro, N.C. The $42 million facility has an initial capacity of 1,200 students, but it has been designed so the capacity can be increased to 1,600. About 465 freshmen and sophomores began attending the school last week, although some parts of the construction are not complete. Northern Guilford is the county's first new public high school since 1979. The architect is SFL + A Architects.
