Northern Kentucky University gets additional funding for College of Informatics facility

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights will get another $2.4 million in federal funds for the College of Informatics building that is now under construction. The money will go toward a $5 million Digitorium in the building, which will be called Griffin Hall when it opens in May 2011. The Digitiorium essentially is a black-box theater packed with digital, high-definition and three-dimensional screens and cameras. Inside the space, students will be able to re-create everything from a network operations center to a traditional Broadway show.
