Prosecutors are investigating former maintenance director in Northside (Texas) district

From The San Antonio Express-News: The Bexar County, Texas, district attorney's office is investigating the former maintenance and operations director for the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio about potential misconduct with vendors who contracted with the district. Bernie Morin Jr., 57, was placed on administrative leave in May after an internal audit found he had become too cozy with vendors and failed to follow purchasing procedures. Morin, who had been hired as director by the district in 2001, resigned a week and a half later.
MAY 2011....from The San Antonio Express-News: The director of maintenance and operations in the Northside (Texas) Independent School District has resigned after irregularities arose in an internal audit of his department. Bernie Morin, had been placed on leave last week. Morin had worked for Northside, based in San Antonio, since 2001 and oversaw a department with about 1,000 employees. The district would not elaborate on the nature of the irregularities.
