Wind turbine installed at Virginia school campus

NEWS RELEASE: With the help of a $20,000 grant, Northumberland Middle and High School in Heathsville, Va., has installed a 2.4 kilowatt wind turbine on campus. It is he first school in the state to participate in U.S. Department of Energy’s Wind for Schools project. The turbine will be used as an educational aid while providing the school with clean, renewable energy.
