Notre Dame plans $6.5 million in energy conservation upgrades

From The Indianapolis Star: The University of Notre Dame plans to spend $6.5 million on energy conservation measures on its South Bend, Ind., campus, such as lighting and motor upgrades and improved thermostat controls, over the next two years. The initiative follows a $4.1 million investment in energy conservation in 2008. That initiative focused on lighting, heating and cooling in 20 buildings.
