O’Fallon, Ill., gets funds for ninth-grade center

The O’Fallon (Ill.) school district has won voter approval of a $37 million bond proposal to build a ninth-grade center. The new school will have space for 850 freshmen; the district now has about 625 freshmen. Enrollment at the 2,400-student high school is expected to grow to 4,000 by 2010.
