Oklahoma high school student dies the day after breaking his leg in football practice

From The Daily Oklahoman: A student on the football team at an Oklahoma high school died the day after his leg was broken at practice. Ryan Smith, a 16-year-old sophomore football player at Edmond North High School, had been released from the hospital Tuesday after receiving treatment for his injury, but Wednesday, Smith was “very lethargic,” and Smith’s grandparents were unable to wake him up. Smith was rushed to a hospital and died nine minutes after he arrived. Medical examiners are working to determine the cause of death.
