Bonsall, Calif., has taken a step toward building its own high school after years of talking about educating its teens locally rather than sending them to Fallbrook High School. The San Diego County Board of Education is set to accept a petition from Bonsall and will set a time for a public hearing on the issue. Bonsall has a K-8 district that serves about 1,800 students. In order for Bonsall to build a high school, it must go through a lengthy process to become a unified K-12 district. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
