From The Columbus Dispatch: An advisory panel is recommending that the Columbus (Ohio) district should close nine schools at the end of this school year and reassign thousands of students at dozens of other buildings. Board President Carol Perkins said she doesn't know whether the school board will accept the plan. The panel's recommendation calls for closing four elementary schools and five middle schools.
