Panel seeking savings from outsourcing in Charlotte-Mecklenburg district hasn't found much

Committee says so far, it has not unearthed any big, immediate savings

From The Charlotte Observer: An advisory committee in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County (N.C.) district looking into outsourcing opportunities says it hasn't found big savings for the 2012-13 budget. Six months into its three-year mission, the "privatization" panel will recommend exploring a couple of small projects: Hiring private contractors to keep six new administrative office buildings clean and seeing if a private company can do payroll better and cheaper.
