Facility needs in Pasco County (Fla.) district exceed available revenue by $288 million

From The Tampa Tribune: Across Pasco County, Fla., aging school facilities are expected to need about $1.1 billion worth of repairs and improvements over the next 12 years, school district officials say. But the district projects it will have only $812 million to pay for the work, leaving the district about $288 million shy. The district's projected revenue of $812 million also comes with a caveat. That figure is dependent on voters agreeing to renew a one-cent sales tax that expires at the end of 2014.
