Pasco County (Fla.) board rejects 2 charter applications

From The St. Petersburg Times: The Pasco County (Fla.) School Board has rejected charter school applications from two community groups. The Center for Independence had sought to open a school to serve students ages 18 to 22 with special needs. Freedom Academy had proposed a science and math-focused elementary school. Board members say the groups' applications were inadequate and had to be denied.
