Pasco (Wash.) district fails to win approval of $59 million bond issue

District wanted funds to build elementary school and middle school

From The Tacoma News-Tribune: Voters have rejected a $59 million bond proposal in the Pasco (Wash.) district. If it had passed, the school system also would have received $50 million in state funding. The $109 million would have paid for a new elementary school, a new middle school and a new early learning center. The district also had planned to buy land for future schools, fix Stevens Middle School and Livingston Elementary School, relocate New Horizons High School and pay for a few other improvements.
