From The Detroit News: A fire early today has heavily damaged Paul Robeson Academy in Detroit. No one was hurt. The blaze started in the attic of the five-story brick building. Fire officials say the call came in at 4:15 a.m. today, but the fire was probably smoldering for far longer. Investigators did not know how the fire began. Robeson has about 700 students in grades pre-K through eight. About 200 Kindergarten and pre-K students are housed in a a separate building on the Robeson campus that was not affected by the fire and will be able to continue their classes there.
