Sources say that supporters have collected enough signatures to put question on November ballot

From The Detroit Free Press: A loose organization of politicians and community leaders has gathered 13,000 signatures in its effort to push for mayoral oversight of Detroit Public Schools. The signatures exceed the nearly 4,000 required to ask voters on the November ballot whether they are in favor of replacing the elected school board in Detroit.
