Board chooses district veteran after Miami administrator turns down job

The Pinellas County (Fla.) School Board has named veteran educator Julie Janssen its next superintendent. Janssen has been the district's interim superintendent since June. The board had offered the job last week to Miami school administrator Alberto Cavalho, but at the same time, the Miami board offered its superintendency to Cavalho, and he decided to stay in Miami.
