Pocola (Okla.) district seeks funds for accessibility upgrades

From The Fort Smith Times-Record: The Pocola (Okla.) School District will hold a special election on Oct. 13 for an $800,000 bond issue to pay for renovations aimed at making its school facility Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant. Two years ago, the district was sued because its buildings weren’t up to ADA standards. It was given four years to complete the various projects in three schools.
