Poll says majority of Clark County, Nev., voters would support tax for building upgrades

School system says it has $5.3 billion in facility needs

From The Las Vegas Sun: A survey shows that a little more than half of Clark County, Nev., voters would support a tax hike by Clark County School District to pay for a $5.3 billion school facility improvement plan. The poll found that 55 percent of voters are in favor of a potential capital bond program; 40 percent are opposed. The school board is expected to decide by July whether to put a proposal before voters.
