3-year-old picked up snake on playground of elementary school in Tustin

From The Orange County Register: A 3-year-old preschool student was bitten by a baby rattlesnake during lunch time at an elementary school in Tustin, Calif. The boy has a swollen hand and is in stable condition at a hospital, a spokesman for the Tustin Unified School District says. The child attends a special needs preschool at Ladera Elementary School. The boy had picked up a baby rattlesnake next to a trash can near the playground. A teacher's aide was nearby and captured the snake by throwing a trash can over the reptile.
