Fairwood, a planned community, has been seeking a school for more than 6 years

From The Washington Post: Prince George's County (Md.) school officials have once again postponed plans to build an elementary school in Fairwood, a planned community near Bowie.
Fairwood residents have been fighting for their own school for more than six years. But Superintendent William R. Hite Jr. says there's no way to move that project forward now, because state officials have decided there is no need for it.
