Principal at Houston charter acquitted of charge related to student beating

From The Houston Chronicle: The principal of a Houston charter school has been acquitted of misdemeanor charges that he failed to report an injury to a child after a female science teacher at Jamie's House Charter School beat one of her students. David Jones was acquitted by a jury in county court. He was charged in the wake of an April 29, 2010, beating administered by teacher Sheri Lynn Davis, which was videotaped and posted on the Internet. Davis was fired and later pleaded no-contest to injury to a child. She received five years probation.
