Principal resigns after being accused of unauthorized spending

Regina Joiner quits post at Smyrna Elementary in Rutherford County (Tenn.) district

From The Nashville Tennessean: Smyrna (Tenn.) Elementary School Principal Regina Joiner has resigned after admitting to nearly $1,000 in unauthorized purchases on the school’s credit card, a Rutherford County school district official says. Joiner was accused of making $940 in purchases for food, clothing and makeup. District officials say that after Joiner was questioned about the spending, she repaid the money and resigned.
