Principal who stole from Minneapolis Catholic school gets 3 years in prison

A principal who fed her gambling addiction by stealing more than $350,000 from St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School in north Minneapolis has been sentenced to three years in prison. Joyce A. Klevence, 68, who left the school 18 months ago, was convicted of stealing from the school, which has 93 students in kindergarten to eighth grade. Restitution will be determined at a later date. Judge John Holahan Jr. countered said the theft was "particularly egregious" because its victims were countless schoolchildren. He gave Klevence more time than recommended by state guidelines.

I attended this school kindergarten through eighth grade, I don't remember one student that liked her. I was personally scared of her, after seeing how she would yell at other students for "acting up." I was sent to her office once and didn't even go because I did not want to face her.
