Program lets students borrow artwork for their rooms

University of California Berkeley collection made available to students and faculty

College students traditionally decorate their residence hall rooms with posters of their favorite rock bands. But students at the University of California, Berkeley, are able to borrow original, signed and framed art created by the likes of Marc Chagall, Edward Gorey and Edvard Munch. It's part of a free campus loan program that the university is bringing back after a decadeslong hiatus. The Graphic Arts Loan Collection program at the Morrison Library offers students, faculty and staff a chance to borrow two pieces for up to a year.
