Four students charged with assaulting 13-year-old boy at Odessa, Fla., middle school

From The Tampa Tribune: Principals at Hillsborough County (Fla.) schools have been given a directive: It's time to be more vigilant about bullying and other misbehavior in every part of their school. The rape of a 13-year-old boy at Walker Middle School in Odessa, Fla., highlights the attention school leaders must pay to their environment, district officials say. Administrators from every part of the school district met this week and crafted a directive to principals to heighten awareness and make their presence known where problems are afoot. School administrators still are investigating what led to the rape of the 13-year-old and the subsequent arrest of the classmates police say are responsible for the assault.
