Rebuilt elementary opens in West Palm Beach

Berkshire Elementary welcomes students back to campus.

The Palm Beach County (Fla.) school district has opened a rebuilt and expanded Berkshire Elementary School in West Palm Beach. The 148,412-square-foot facility opened in March. It has three wings and includes an indoor/outdoor stage area, cafeteria seating up to 328 students, a music hall, art studio, media center, TV studio, administrative offices and labs for the hearing impaired. The construction manager is The Weitz Company, and the architect is Cubellis.
