State says applications are up despite steep hikes in student fees
From The Sacramento Bee: University of California campuses are reporting dramatic increases in the number of transfer students applying for the fall 2010 session. It has resulted in the largest number ever of applications statewide despite steep hikes in student fees. A record 134,029 students applied to the university system during the application period that closed Nov. 30.
