State’s senate education committee says removal of limits in primary grades will save money

From The Dallas Morning News: The Texas Senate Education Committee wants the Legislature to consider easing class size limits in elementary schools and eliminating the cap on independent charter schools in the state. The panel is recommending a loosening of the strict class size limit of 22 pupils in kindergarten through fourth grade. Teacher groups are gearing up to fight any tampering with the requirement.
