Brookings Institution study says state should reduce number of districts by at least one-third

The idea has received mixed reactions from federal and state elected officials and educators. Restoring Prosperity: Transforming Ohio’s Communities for the Next Economy, a report from the Brookings Institution, says the action is needed to help the state recover from its "severe, inescapable and worsening" fiscal difficulties.
