State auditor wants law changed to ease restrictions

From The Dayton Daily News: An Ohio law regarding student information has impeded the investigation of the state auditor's office into attendance scrubbing at schools. If the law is changed, the state at least $432,000 annually, Ohio Auditor Dave Yost says. He wants the Ohio Board of Education to support removing language in the statute prohibiting the board or the Department of Education from knowing certain personally identifiable student information.
