Ousted Texas Southern University leader Priscilla Slade accused of spending school funds on personal expenses

Ousted Texas Southern University President Priscilla Slade is set to be retried March 24 on charges that she spent university money on personal expenses. A two-month trial ended a week ago in a mistrial after the jury said they were deadlocked at 6 to 6. Her lawyers have argued that Slade was using university money to court donors and enhance the Houston school's image in the community.
