From The Kansas City Star: A security officer at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., fatally shot an armed suspect after a traffic accident Thursday afternoon. The officer pulled up to a wrecked car on a street adjacent to the university about 3 p.m. A man exited the vehicle and pointed a gun at the officer; the officer shot the suspect in the chest. Students still are out on winter break at Rockhurst, but staff members had returned to work and were on campus when the shooting occurred.
